Tradewind Recruitment is working inclusive and supportive secondary schools in Camden that are seeking Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team after half term. These are fantastic opportunities for a caring, patient, and motivated graduate who wants to gain first-hand experience supporting young people with additional needs - ideal for those considering a career in teaching, psychology, or educational support. The Role As a Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a student aged 11-16 with special educational needs (such as autism, ADHD, or social, emotional, and mental health needs). Build a positive, trusting relationship to help the student feel confident and supported both in and out of lessons. Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials and resources to meet individual learning needs. Encourage engagement, focus, and independence during classroom and enrichment activities. Offer emotional and academic support to help the student achieve their full potential. Every day, you'll see the difference your patience and encouragement make. About You We're looking for graduates who are: Passionate about supporting young people and promoting inclusive education. Empathetic, resilient, and confident in building meaningful relationships. Strong communicators with a proactive, can-do attitude. Graduates from Psychology, Education, English, Science, or similar subjects are encouraged to apply. Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary) is desirable but not essential.
