As our Teaching Assistant, you will: be positive and motivatedbe adaptable and show initiative where neededshare the school's vision and ethoshave a strong subject knowledge with relation to the primary curriculum, in particular, Maths and Englishhave GCSE English and Maths at grade C level 4 or above (or equivalent). We are looking for someone with: experience of working with children with social, emotional, mental health needsexperience of working with children with specific learning difficulties e.g. dyslexiathe ability to work in a teamexperience using a range of technology including Microsoft Teamsthe ability to take the initiative and adapt work to the child or situationthe ability to work both in the classroom and out of the classrooman understanding that children’s behaviour is a form of communication and that unacceptable behaviour has a root causethe ability to unpick unacceptable behaviour to identify triggersthe resilience to work with children with complex needs.
