Head of Inclusion, Assessment and Review Service - Middlesbrough 12-Month Cover | £500 per day | Full-Time Pertemps is currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Inclusion, Assessment and Review Service to join a local authority on a 12-month interim basis. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic direction across statutory SEND services, inclusion, and provision planning. Key Responsibilities:Lead the delivery of statutory SEND services, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and all relevant legislation.Oversee inclusion, outreach, and specialist teaching services, with a focus on improving outcomes for children and young people.Manage placement and provision planning, ensuring sufficiency and quality of placements across education settings.Lead and inspire diverse multidisciplinary teams, promoting high performance and collaboration.Build and maintain effective multi-agency partnerships with schools, health, social care, and other key stakeholders.Oversee budget and resource management, ensuring efficient use of funding and value for money.Drive service improvement and change management initiatives aligned with local and national priorities.Requirements:Proven experience in a senior leadership role within SEND or Inclusion services.Strong understanding of SEND legislation, inclusion policy, and alternative provision.Demonstrable experience of strategic management, budget oversight, and staff leadership.Excellent communication, negotiation, and partnership-building skills.Why work through Pertemps?
