The Role As a Head of Year, you’ll play a key pastoral leadership role within the school community, focusing on behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, and progress.Key responsibilities include: Monitoring and supporting the academic and personal development of all pupils in your year group Leading on attendance, punctuality, and behaviour management Delivering assemblies and pastoral interventions Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff Working closely with the safeguarding and SEND teams to ensure every pupil receives the right support Tracking progress and implementing strategies to raise achievement and engagement You’ll act as the main point of contact for students and families, helping shape a school culture built on respect, inclusion, and ambition.
