Job Title: History Teacher Location: Sheffield (S4) Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you an inspiring History Teacher ready to bring the past to life and ignite a passion for learning in your students?GSL Education are seeking a committed and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a supportive school in Sheffield (S4). The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Key Stages pupils, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the events that have shaped our world.Responsibilities as a History Teacher: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the History curriculum.Encourage historical enquiry and analytical skills through diverse teaching methods.Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, engagement, and learning.Prepare students for assessments and examinations, ensuring they reach their full potential.Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives. Requirements for History Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.Strong subject knowledge in History and the wider Humanities curriculum is desirable.Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.A passion for inspiring and engaging young learners.An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
