Finance Officer, Secondary School, Tunbridge Wells Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent Pay: £150 per day Contract: Temporary / Full-time (with potential for extension) Start Date: As soon as possible Are you an experienced school finance officer looking for your next role? At term time teachers we are looking for a finance officer for one of our schools in Tunbridge Wells to join their administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of our school community. About the Role: As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management and administration of the school's budget. You will work closely with the School Business Manager and senior leadership team to ensure accurate reporting, effective budget monitoring, and compliance with local authority and DfE financial regulations. Key Responsibilities: Manage and process invoices, purchase orders, and payments Support with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting Monitor departmental spending and advise on budgetary control Liaise with suppliers, staff, and external agencies Ensure compliance with school and trust financial policies Essential Requirements: Experience working in a finance role within a school or education setting Proficiency in financial systems Strong numeracy and analytical skills An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one) Hold the right to work in the UK.
