Tax Dispute Assistant ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Tax Dispute Assistant Manager to join our team, responsible for managing and resolving complex tax disputes on behalf of our clients. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a real impact on our clients' financial well-being.ResponsibilitiesManage and resolve complex tax disputes with HMRC, including Code of Practice 8 and Code of Practice 9 casesProvide expert advice and guidance to clients on tax dispute resolution strategiesConduct thorough investigations and analysis of tax disputes to identify potential errors and areas for appealDevelop and implement effective dispute resolution plans to achieve successful outcomes for clientsCollaborate with senior tax professionals to ensure consistency and quality of service deliveryMaintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and HMRC policies and proceduresDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, HMRC and other stakeholdersRequirements3+ years of experience in tax dispute resolution, preferably in a senior or management roleChartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification or equivalentIn-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and HMRC policies and procedures, including Code of Practice 8 and Code of Practice 9Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creativelyProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and WordAbility to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality resultsBenefitsCompetitive salary - £55,000 - £62,000 (dependent on experience).Hybrid and flexible working options.Generous holiday allowance and wellbeing initiatives.Clear progression pathway to Senior Manager and beyond.Continuous professional development and training support.Access to prestigious client work within a respected Top 20 firm.LocationLondon – Hybrid working model (2–3 days in the office).About TPF Recruitment LondonTPF Recruitment is a specialist accountancy practice recruiter, partnering with leading firms across London and the South East.
