Grade: 11Location: Covering the North West of Scotland but reporting in to our Stirling DepotContract: Full-time, permanentWe are looking for a Field Service Engineer to be based from our Stirling Depot covering the North West of Scotland. The focus of this role is to ensure we deliver a first class service to both internal & external customers. To actively seek revenue opportunities and discuss these with customers, Customer Support Representative’s and your Line Manager.What you will be doing:Service and repair Volvo construction equipment or miscellaneous equipment.Identify mechanical problems, using technical knowledge and computerized diagnostic equipment, offering guidance and advice to the customer.Carrying out duties in a commercially focused way, seeking additional service revenue opportunities and promoting our aftermarket solutions.Work in line with quotations and time guides, highlighting to management where additional work may be required.Ensure software updates are installed as new versions are released.Complete tablet inputs, electronic reports and timesheets in ‘real time’ providing comprehensive details of the work undertaken.Order parts for your work as necessary and to return parts in a clean condition and at the time of job completion.Able to work overtime as and when required and to honour reasonable call out requests.Attend any relevant product or systems training courses RequirementsWhat you'll bring:A formal engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural / HGV mechanics or related discipline (i.e. NVQ 3/C&G)Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant, including proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics and electrics.Advanced diagnostic and trouble shooting skills and comprehensive understanding of hydraulics, electrics and EATS.Ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues, management and customersWork with a cost conscious mindset to ensure maximum profitabilityAbility to problem solve and high level of diagnostic skillsConfident using computer systems and outlookHigh levels or attention to detailConscientious in all aspects of the jobHighly responsible, reliable, honest and trustworthyAbility to understand technical literature/systemsDesirable:Experience of Welding and FabricationBenefitsWhat's in it for you?Alongside a competitive salary we off you a host of fantastic benefits!Taking Care of YouHealth Cash Plan – Claim money back on prescriptions (including HRT), glasses, dentists appointments, physio and more.
