Role – We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of secure and high-performing data pipelines and products for a major UK-based enterprise. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges and contributing to a modern and cloud driven environment.Key Responsibilities:Develop, enhance, and support data products and ETL pipelines ensuring strong performance and data integrityParticipate in design and code reviews, contributing to best practice developmentCollaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve issuesTroubleshoot and maintain existing data products to ensure operational stabilityAssist with incident investigations to improve reliability and data custodianshipContribute to enhancements in security, resilience, and maintainability of data systemsStay up to date with emerging tech and modern engineering approachesKey Skills:Strong SQL and experience with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, optimisation)Hands-on ETL development using SSISReporting experience with Power BI including DAX and data modellingSolid understanding of data engineering, data modelling, and ERD designKnowledge of data validation, transformation, and loading techniquesIf you are interested or would like to know more, please email jonathan.la@focusonsap.org with your CV and availability to speak.Applicants must be a UK resident and holds a valid right to work status.
