Role: Teaching AssistantRate of pay: £425 - £475 P/WLocation: Birmingham, B92**About the role**A Teaching Assistant supports teachers and students to ensure effective learning within the classroom. Their role involves helping with lesson planning and delivery, preparing teaching materials, and providing individual or small-group support to reinforce learning concepts. Teaching Assistants help maintain a positive, safe, and organized classroom environment, manage student behavior, and assist those with special educational needs or disabilities. They also supervise students during non-classroom activities such as lunch, recess, or school trips. Strong communication, patience, and teamwork are essential, as TAs work closely with teachers and other staff to foster student engagement and progress. While a high school diploma is typically required, additional qualifications or experience in education are often preferred.
