Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS) Location: Sheffield (S5) Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you an organised and proactive individual who loves supporting young learners while ensuring a calm and effective classroom environment?GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will oversee classes in the absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and supported in their learning.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes during teacher absence, following provided lesson plans.Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.Support students’ engagement, behaviour, and well-being.Assist in managing classroom resources and activities.Report on student progress and behaviour to teaching staff. Requirements for Cover Supervisor: Experience working in schools or supporting young people in a learning environment.Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain classroom discipline.Reliable, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
