Our client, an independent energy company is currently recruiting for a Category Lead. Located in Aberdeen, the role is offered on a long term contact or permanent (staff) basis.ROLEThe individual will be required to manage the evaluation and integration of complex customer requirements often demanding innovative solutions. Focus will be on HSE&A and creating value and delivering service excellence through applying efficient supply chain principles in helping the business achieve top quartile performance. This position involves managing interfaces with suppliers/partners to ensure that all company objectives are achieved, including the relevant audit requirements, but more particularly, providing a value-driven service to in-house customers.RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and implement sourcing plans to secure supply in accordance with Category sourcing strategiesDevelops action plans, timelines and resource assignments for sourcing projectsContinuous involvement in the sourcing, developing and maintaining a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery and technologyLeads the ITT, RFI/Q/P and bidding processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and total cost of ownershipEnsure supplier pre-qualifications and on-site audits are performed as per processResponsible for supplier performance management including regular performance reviews together with businessUndertake supplier negotiates to deliver valueUndertakes sourcing projects to assure on-time completion and guaranteed supply for all portfoliosBuilds strong relationships with internal stakeholders in order to meet defined objectivesIdentifies opportunities and implements actions to continually reduce wasteComplies with all company and local procedures applicable to the job functionEmployees may be assigned other duties in addition to, or in lieu of those described above, according to the needs of the Company REQUIREMENTS Person Specification Excellent oral and written communicationsGood level of influencing skillsSkills & attributesGood analytical skills with ability to solve complex problemsOrganised and logical thinkerIdeally experienced in Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing or Category ManagementAn understanding of Oil & Gas equipment and servicesConversed with latest Strategic sourcing tools and techniquesGood understanding of terms and conditionsExperienced in administering tenders. Qualifications Essential: Academic qualification preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Management
