What You’ll Do as an SEMH Teaching Assistant Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual pupils. Implement behaviour management strategies that foster emotional regulation and self-confidence. Build positive, trusting relationships that help students re-engage with learning. Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages progress. What We’re Looking For Previous experience working as an SEMH Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role. Strong understanding of SEMH and additional learning needs (e.g. Autism, ADHD, trauma). Excellent communication, adaptability, and a calm approach to challenging situations. A genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
