LOCUM DENTIST - HARTLEPOOLA new opportunity has become available for a Locum Dentist at a urgent care practice located in Hartlepool, DurhamStart Date: ASAP - until 31st March 2026 (could be longer)Days of work: Mondays and TuesdaysWorking hours: 9am-5:30pm (Lunch between)Day Rate on offer: £550Practice information:Mixed 2 surgery practice using Kodak R4, manual x-rays (but looking to covert to digital over the coming months) Experienced team of Nurses, possibility of associate position (can be discussed further)Location information:On street car park available, train station a 10 minute walk awayThis role is for urgent care and patients with high clinical needs as instructed by the NHS.There is 15 x 30 minutes slots booked per day for each clinician where NHS expects a definitive treatment to be carried out, if this is not possible they can rebook the patient to return for treatment.*Examples of high clinical needs include*:> ANY patient requiring urgent or emergency dental care.> ANY patient requiring non-urgent dental care where:- There is a significant risk of deterioration and/or longer-term consequences- The patient is vulnerable for medical or social reasons (e.g. patient with particular medical conditions, looked after children, adults with care and support needs)> ANY patient requiring primary care dentistry intervention before planned secondary dental or medical care can be progressed (e.g. patients awaiting cancer care).These appointments MUST BE reasonably managed to ensure utilisation is optimised with minimal waste but also ensure a continued balance that ensures ‘same day’ urgent patient presentations are available every day and appointment slots are not fully booked weeks in advance with follow up treatments leaving no capacity to accommodate those presenting with immediateAll candidates must be fully qualified, GDC registered with UK experience.
