The Role As part of the Science Department, you’ll play a key role in supporting the school’s tradition of academic success and innovation in teaching.Your responsibilities will include: Teaching A Level Biology to KS5 and GCSE Science to KS3/4 students Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons aligned with the AQA specification Supporting students through exam preparation, coursework, and enrichment projects Encouraging a love of science through experimentation, inquiry, and critical thinking Contributing to departmental development, open evenings, and extracurricular STEM activities You’ll work alongside a talented and supportive team of science educators who are passionate about both subject mastery and student wellbeing. About You We’d love to hear from you if you are: A qualified Science or Biology Teacher (QTS or QTLS) with experience teaching A Level Biology Confident in delivering complex scientific concepts with clarity and enthusiasm Experienced in preparing students for AQA A Level Biology assessments Passionate about helping able students stretch their knowledge beyond the curriculum Collaborative, organised, and reflective in your teaching practice ECTs with strong subject knowledge are encouraged to apply you’ll receive excellent support and mentoring from an experienced department.
