Teaching Personnel are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Waterlooville area. This full-time position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience or explore a potential career in teaching.About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising classes of students aged 11–16 in the absence of the class teacher. You will ensure pupils remain engaged with pre-prepared lesson materials while maintaining a calm and focused learning environment across a range of subjects. The role may also include providing support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN).Key Responsibilities: Deliver and supervise pre-set lessons across various subjects for students aged 11–16. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following the school’s policies and expectations. Keep students engaged, focused, and on task throughout the lesson. Offer appropriate support to SEN pupils where needed. Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil behaviour, engagement, and progress. Who We’re Looking For: Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable, particularly experience supporting SEN pupils. Confidence in managing classroom dynamics and adapting to different situations. Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students. A genuine enthusiasm for education and supporting young people’s learning and development. What’s On Offer: Full-time position with an immediate start. Competitive daily rates between £95 and £140.
