School Business Manager (Maternity Cover) Primary School - London Borough of Haringey Start Date: December 2025 Contract: Maternity Leave Cover (9-12 months) ⏰ Part-time: 4 days per week Salary: PO5 sp. 38-41 (£50,574 - £53,607 FTE, pro-rata) - negotiable depending on experience SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting on behalf of a warm, welcoming, and supportive faith primary school in the London Borough of Haringey. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated School Business Manager to join the leadership team on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a vibrant primary school community, ensuring effective operations across finance, HR, premises, IT, and administration. Working closely with the Headteacher and Trustees, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the school's vision and enabling staff to deliver outstanding teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities: Lead on financial planning, budget management, and reporting (with support from an external Education Finance Consultant) Oversee HR processes, payroll, compliance, and safer recruitment Manage contracts, procurement, and supplier relationships, ensuring value for money Lead on premises and facilities management, health & safety, and risk assessments Support governance by reporting to Trustees and attending committee meetings What We're Looking For: Proven experience in school business management or a senior administrative role within education Strong knowledge of finance, HR, safeguarding, and health & safety (academy finance experience desirable) Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills A proactive, collaborative, and resilient professional who shares our commitment to high standards and community ethos This role would suit an experienced School Business Manager looking for part-time or flexible opportunities in Haringey who is keen to continue making a difference in education.
