Key Stage 2 TeacherStart Date: January 2026 Contract: Full-time, permanent Salary: Paid to scale (M1 – M6) About the RoleTeaching Personnel are pleased to be working with a supportive and well-resourced primary school in Shepton Mallet, which is seeking a Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team from January 2026.This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching and support pupils’ academic and personal development in a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 national curriculum.Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages engagement, curiosity, and progress.Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure all pupils reach their potential.Undertake professional responsibilities including marking, assessment, and participation in school activities. Candidate ProfileThe successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2.Demonstrate effective classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire pupils.Be well-organised, proactive, and committed to high educational standards.Enjoy working as part of a collaborative school team. Safeguarding and ComplianceAll candidates are required to complete a full vetting process through Teaching Personnel, including: An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.Completion of mandatory safeguarding training.An informal interview including classroom-based questions.
