To assess, monitor, record and report on pupils’ learning and progress, adapting teaching as needed to meet all learners’ needs (including those with additional or special educational needs). To work collaboratively as part of the KS1/early years phase team, sharing planning, resources and best practice. To maintain high expectations for behaviour, motivation and personal development of pupils; to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment. To liaise with parents/carers, support staff, other professionals and the Senior Leadership Team to support the all-round development of the children. To contribute to the wider school life (e.g., extra-curricular activities, school events). To uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare of all children at all times. We are looking for someone who: Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with recent experience (or a strong trainee/ECT) in KS1. Has sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective pedagogy for early years / Key Stage 1. Is passionate about primary education and committed to child-centred learning. Can differentiate lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and needs, including SEND and higher-attaining pupils. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. Is enthusiastic, resilient, organized and works well as part of a team. Is committed to continuing professional development and reflective practice.
