Sixth Form Learning Mentor - Brent Full-time | Secondary School | Immediate Start Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with well-regarded secondary schools in the London Borough of Brent to recruit Sixth Form Learning Mentors to support students in Years 12 and 13. These are full-time positions to start immediately and have the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. The Role As a Sixth Form Learning Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students' academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with the Head of Sixth Form, subject teachers, and pastoral staff to provide targeted support to students through: 1:1 and small group mentoring Supporting students with study skills, time management, and exam preparation Monitoring attendance, punctuality, and engagement Providing guidance to students facing barriers to learning Assisting with the delivery of enrichment activities and university/apprenticeship preparation The School This inclusive and high-achieving secondary school in Brent has a strong focus on academic excellence and student wellbeing. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience working with young people aged 16-18 in an educational or youth work setting A calm, supportive, and proactive approach to mentoring Excellent communication and organisational skills A good academic background (degree-level preferred) An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to undertake one) Why join Tradewind?
