This is a fantastic opportunity to play an integral role within a global organisation.This role would suit an experienced design engineer with experience using SolidWorks to design special purpose machinery, candidates from any industry are also encouraged to apply.Joining a growing team, the successful Lead Design Engineer will be responsible for overseeing cross functional teams to design and configure bespoke machinery designs. You will oversee projects from concept to completion, coordinate project timelines and actively design complex systems using SolidWorks.The Mechanical Design Engineer Role:· Leading technical teams on the development of bespoke machinery· Using SolidWorks to create details and complex systems· Feasibility testing and work with prototypes· Ensure compliance with regulations· Optimisation of design, material, and component selection for efficiency and sustainability· Analysis of failures to improve designs· Creation of technical reports for senior management and clientsThe Mechanical Design Engineer Candidate:· Experience designing special purpose machinery or similar· Hold a HNC / HND (or equivalent) in relevant engineering subject· Experience managing entire design processes· Experience optimising costs on high value projects
