The RoleThis role is an opportunity for an experienced insurance adviser and mortgage broker looking to build on their existing knowledge and delve into an existing protection clientele. It is an opportunity to provide exceptional customer services and support existing clients by reviewing their protection needs (incl. life insurance, critical illness, income protection, multiprotect, childshield and whole-of-life insurance). The ideal candidate will have strong financial services experience, excellent communication skills and be a self-starter. You will be a key part of a busy insurance and mortgage broker’s office, supporting clients with professional advice, building strong client relationships and ensuring that our clients have the coverage they need to protect themselves and loved ones. Key Responsibilities: InsuranceClient Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations and assessments with clients to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, and insurance needs.Insurance Analysis: Evaluate clients' current insurance coverage and financial situations to identify gaps in protection and recommend appropriate solutions.Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various insurance products. Customized Solutions: Tailor insurance recommendations to meet each client's unique circumstances and budget.Policy Presentations: Present insurance options to clients clearly and transparently, explaining benefits, premiums, and terms in a comprehensible manner. Sales and Client Acquisition: Actively prospect for new clients and generate leads through networking, referrals, and marketing efforts.Compliance: Ensure that all insurance transactions and recommendations comply with industry regulations and company policies.Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through regular follow-ups and reviews of their insurance portfolios.Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of client interactions, applications, and policy details.Providing a high level of customer service, treating the customers fairly and adhering to rules, codes of conduct and guidelines as issued by the firm and FCA.Key Responsibilities: MortgageConduct thorough assessments of clients' financial situations to determine appropriate mortgage options.Provide clear and concise explanations of various mortgage products, interest rates and terms.Assist clients in completing mortgage applications and gathering necessary documentation.Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and other professionals to facilitate the mortgage process.Stay updated on market trends and changes in legislation affecting mortgages.Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions in compliance with company policies.Offer ongoing support and advice throughout the mortgage lifecycle, including refinancing options. Position RequirementsCeMAP or equivalent qualification required.Experience: 1-year min. experience as an insurance adviser is required. Experience: 3-years min. experience as an mortgage broker is required. Proficient in basic maths to perform calculations related to loan amounts, interest rates, and repayment schedules.Strong knowledge of financial services, particularly within the mortgage sector.PC literate, confident using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) insurance & lender software or CRM systems.Communication: Confident communicator (face-to-face, verbal and written) with strong customer engagement skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Regulatory knowledge: Full understanding of Data Protection and FCA regulatory requirements. Motivation: Highly motivated with a drive to deliver sales targets and outstanding client outcomes.Attention to detail and strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple cases simultaneously.
