We are currently working in partnership with a housing provider in Rochdale who are recruiting for a Roofer on three-month temporary-permanent basis.The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. Initially, the hourly rate for the role will be £25 an hour on a CIS basis.You will need an NVQ Level 2 in Slating and Tiling to apply for this role. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Carrying out roofing repairs and maintenance on a range of social housing properties in line with health and safety standardsIdentifying and diagnosing roof defects, including leaks, damaged tiles, flashings, and guttering issuesCompleting tiling, slating, flat roofing, and lead work repairs to a high standardWorking from job sheets and schedules to prioritise responsive and planned maintenance tasksEnsuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timeframesLiaising with tenants and housing officers in a polite and professional manner while carrying out works Working hours: 37.5 hours per weekMonday - Friday, 3:30 finish on a Friday Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
