Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Worthing Pay Rate: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a caring and patient individual passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their best?GSL Education are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Worthing. This role offers a valuable chance to positively influence the learning and personal growth of pupils who need extra support.The SEN TA supports pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by providing one-to-one or small group assistance tailored to individual learning requirements. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech or learning difficulties.Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual learning needs.Encourage pupils to engage positively in their education and develop essential social and communication skills.Support pupils in managing behaviour and emotions using patience and positive reinforcement.Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective provision. Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or additional learning needs.A compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach to working with pupils.Strong communication and teamwork skills.An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
