Taylor Stevenson is proud to be partnering with a leading Doncaster-based IT company to recruit a 1st Line Technician to join their growing support team.About the Role: As a 1st Line Technician, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, handling incoming support tickets, phone calls, and emails. You’ll diagnose and resolve a range of hardware, software, and network issues, escalating more complex cases to senior engineers when required. This is a fast-paced and varied role, offering excellent opportunities to expand your skills and grow your IT career.Key Responsibilities: Log, triage, and resolve IT support requests efficiently Provide support for Windows desktops, Microsoft 365, and common business applications Manage user accounts, email setups, and basic network troubleshooting Escalate complex issues while maintaining clear communication and follow-up Maintain accurate records within the PSA system Essential Skills & Experience: Minimum 18 months’ experience in an IT helpdesk or 1st line support role Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and basic networking principles Excellent communication and time management skills Genuine enthusiasm for technology and continuous learning Desirable Skills: Experience using remote monitoring or ticketing systems Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) Benefits: 4-day working week (with full pay) Ongoing training and professional development Regular team events and social activities Opportunities to progress into 2nd Line or project-based work Enhanced maternity and paternity benefits Supportive, no-drama work environment Proud winner of the Employer of the Year Award 2024 Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 (DOE) Working Hours: 4-day working week (rotating Mondays/Fridays off)If you’re passionate about IT and looking for a role where you can learn, grow, and be part of a supportive team — we’d love to hear from you!
