You’ll be part of a dedicated team working to ensure every child in the Reception (and possibly Nursery) setting thrives socially, emotionally and academically.The Role As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will: Work alongside the class teacher to support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, helping children aged 3-5 to learn through play, exploration and structured activities. Support group and individual learning, including children who may require additional support. Assist in preparing, organising and maintaining indoor and outdoor learning environments that engage young children effectively. Observe, record and contribute to children’s progress and development in line with the EYFS framework. Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing for all pupils. Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role you will need: A recognised childcare/education qualification at Level 2 or preferably Level 3 relevant to EYFS/supporting teaching and learning. Good literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths. A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and how young children learn. Experience of working with young children (paid or voluntary) in an educational or childcare setting. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) and a commitment to safeguarding children. Desirable Qualifications and Skills Level 3 (or above) qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Early Years or equivalent. First Aid at Work / Paediatric First Aid certificate. Experience working in an EYFS or Nursery setting, including supporting children with SEND. Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills; a flexible and proactive approach; a passion for working with young children. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
