Position: Teaching Assistant – Year 4 Location: Primary School, Horsham, West Sussex Contract Type: Permanent / Fixed Term (as applicable) Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only Hours: 8:20am – 3:20pm (6.5 hours per day) Pay: Grade 3 – Scale Point 3 (£24,796 pro rata)Role OverviewWe are looking for a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Horsham, supporting the Year 4 class. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment and assist teachers in delivering engaging, tailored lessons to support pupils’ academic and social development.Key Responsibilities Support teaching and learning within the Year 4 classroom and small group settings.Provide individual support to pupils with a range of learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN).Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.Work collaboratively with teachers and support colleagues to improve pupil outcomes. Candidate Requirements Experience supporting children in a primary school, preferably with Year 4 or upper KS2 pupils.Understanding of SEN and differentiated learning support.A patient, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.A relevant qualification or First Aid training is desirable but not essential.Commitment to fostering an inclusive school culture and promoting pupil wellbeing.
