We’re looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to join the team and help lead the delivery of multiple projects within private and public sector clients.We’ve built our reputation working with some of the UK’s most complex and highly regulated environments, including central government and financial institutions, where we help customers cut through complexity and deliver lasting change.About the roleThis role is initially focused on a new customer engagement working hard to deliver an Azure cloud migration and set up platform engineering best practices . As a Senior Delivery Manager, you take a lead role and will be a key decision maker, liaising with senior internal and 3rd party stakeholders who are involved in some of the most cutting-edge skills and topics within Cloud, Data and AI solutions.You will have a strong background and extensive experience delivering cloud platforms and migrations. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and use your expertise to direct, advise and support your team to deliver high-quality services, engaging with wider teams and stakeholders to manage opportunities, risks and escalations, ensuring the quality of the service being delivered meets business needs.Interview process - 3 stageInitial conversation with our Talent Acquisition ManagerTechnical Interview with the Delivery team member Leadership Final InterviewRequirementsAbout you You’ll be passionate about new technology and automation, and experienced in leading an Engineering Team in Agile and DevOps best practices. You’ll also be able to talk to us about your:Knowledge of continuous integration, deployment practices and platform engineering principles.Ability to collaborate with people of all levels of technical ability.Understanding of industry best practices.Project Management experience.Fantastic people skills, including the ability to motivate a team towards a common goal.on goal.Key Responsibilities Leading agile ceremonies including stand-ups, backlog refinement, planning and retrospectives.Ensuring the DevOps team is self-organising, engaged, motivated and part of the agile delivery process.Engaging with technical architects, tech leads and peripheral delivery teams to facilitate solutions definitions for our clients.Ensuring the detailed capture of technical work items on the product backlog and ensuring they are estimated with agreed acceptance criteria.Working with internal and client leads to prioritise backlog and communicate the progress of these items as applicable.Ensuring appropriate technical documentation is created and shared with the relevant people.Fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing between the engineering team and client teams, such as scheduling and managing show & tells.Engaging with project and GTM teams on the progress of deliverables and communicating cloud platform dependencies to our clients as necessary.Producing and distributing regular updates on delivery, impediments and issues.QualificationsCertification in relevant cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is highly desirable, e.gMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateAWS Certified: Solutions Architect Associate BenefitsWhy join Appvia?We are a self-funded, London based startup; providing businesses with a fast and secure way to deploy containerised applications into the cloud.We are on a mission to enable organisations to make cloud-based software delivery simple and efficient, whilst having the insights into costs, security and cadence.
