Job Title: SEND Teacher - Resource Base Location: B8, Birmingham Contract Type: Full-Time Salary: £162.31 - £223.63 per day Start Date: ASAP
Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join the specialist Resource Base at a school in B8. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils within the Resource Base, tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP targets.
Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
Collaborate closely with the SENCO, support staff, and external agencies to ensure effective provision and progress for each child.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies and interventions accordingly.
Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and the wider school community to support holistic development.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND education.
Proven track record of working with children with complex needs, including ASD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and the SEND Code of Practice and challenging behaviour
Excellent communication, teamwork, and behaviour management skills.
Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
