SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH Specialist) Salary: £90 - £110 per day (PAYE – no umbrella companies) Contract: Full-time, Long-Term Start Date: Immediate, as soon as possible Make a difference where it really matters We’re looking for a calm, caring, and confident SEN Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll be joining a welcoming specialist school where every day brings new challenges, big smiles, and plenty of progress.If you know how to de-escalate tricky moments, build trust, and help children feel seen and supported, this role’s for you. What you’ll be doing: Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needsHelping children manage emotions, focus on learning, and build confidenceWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create calm, consistent routinesUsing trauma-informed and restorative approaches to guide behaviour and wellbeing What we’re looking for: Experience in SEMH, PRU, or specialist settingsA patient, resilient attitude and genuine care for children’s progressA good sense of humour (it helps!) and the ability to stay calm under pressureThrive training or willingness to complete it (we offer it for free!)
