Psychology Graduate - SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Wolverhampton Salary: £89–£95 per day Contract: Full-timeIf you’re a recent psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young people, this role could be the perfect first step into education.We are seeking a committed and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs. You will play a key role in helping students engage with their learning, build positive relationships, and develop the skills they need to succeed.What you will be doing:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needsWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create supportive routinesUsing your psychology knowledge to help children manage emotions and behaviourCreating a safe, structured environment where every child can thrive
What we are looking for:
A psychology graduate (or similar field) keen to apply knowledge in a practical, rewarding waySomeone with empathy, patience, and a calm approachExperience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is desirableA genuine interest in SEND, mental health, and child development
