EPM is currently seeking an experienced freelance R&D Scientist with a strong focus on bioprocess development and purification to join a leading global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in the field of bioprocess sciences, supporting the advancement of innovative technologies and therapeutic products. This lab-based position will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and executing purification processes that are critical to the development of scalable and robust manufacturing solutions. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment alongside multidisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering high-quality results that meet industry standards and client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Design, plan, and execute experimental studies focused on purification process development and technology innovation. Conduct high-throughput (HTP) experiments, analyze complex datasets, and interpret results to inform next steps in process optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including upstream development, analytical sciences, and quality assurance to ensure seamless workflow integration. Identify and implement workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and reproducibility. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of experimental procedures, results, and conclusions in accordance with regulatory and safety standards. Candidate Requirements: A degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering (BSc/MSc required; PhD preferred). Proven hands-on experience in laboratory settings, particularly in purification techniques such as chromatography and filtration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with GMP standards and quality control procedures is a plus.
