Drainage Engineer – Field-BasedLocation: Portsmouth , HampshireType: Permanent, Full-TimeHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PMSalary: £30,000 – £34,000 per yearPlus Commission Structure & Enhanced Overtime RatesWe are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Drainage Engineer to join our growing team in a client-facing, field-based role. You’ll attend domestic and commercial properties, diagnose and resolve drainage issues, and represent the business professionally on-site.Key ResponsibilitiesAttend both emergency and planned drainage jobsInvestigate, diagnose, and resolve issues using CCTV surveys, high-pressure water jetting, rods, etc.Carry out drain clearance, descaling, root cutting, patch lining, and minor excavationsLiaise directly with customers to explain issues and solutionsIdentify and recommend additional work where appropriateMaintain strict adherence to health and safety procedures (RAMS)Contribute to brand reputation with excellent service and technical knowledgeTake part in an on-call rota to support 24/7 service deliveryWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum 1 year’s drainage experience (essential)Customer-facing experience with strong communication skillsHPWJ certification preferredPlumbing knowledge and/or drainage tanker experience (desirable)Full, clean UK driving licenceCSCS card (preferred)Comfortable using mobile apps and technology on-siteWhat We OfferCompetitive salary: £30,000 – £34,000 per yearCommission structure for upselling and additional workEnhanced overtime ratesAll tools, uniform, vehicle, and equipment providedSupportive, growing team with long-term career opportunitiesTo apply, please apply within or contact Lauren Botting at lauren.botting@vectorsolutions.co.uk for more information
