Area Manager - Raw Materials & Process Location: Uttoxeter Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off - 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.) - Day Shift Salary: Competitive, with progression opportunities Are you an enthusiastic, hands-on leader with experience in food manufacturing? A well-established biscuit manufacturer in Uttoxeter is seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on Area Manager to lead operations across the Raw Materials and Process area. We're looking for the right person to take charge of the Raw Materials and Process area at our busy biscuit manufacturing site in Uttoxeter. This is a key front-end role in our production process - ensuring ingredients are delivered, equipment is running smoothly, and the team is working safely and efficiently to keep our factory moving. What You'll Be Doing Overseeing day-to-day operations across the Raw Materials and Process areas, including silos, mixers, and moulders. Managing a team of around 21 people - including 2 Line Leaders and a group of skilled operatives. Coordinating deliveries and ingredient flow to keep production running seamlessly. Taking responsibility for equipment checks and basic maintenance, ensuring machinery runs safely and reliably. Working closely with production, planning, and engineering teams to optimize performance. Supporting training and development for your team, encouraging safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. About You Experienced in food or FMCG manufacturing, ideally within bakery, biscuits, or similar production environments. A confident, people-focused manager who can organize, motivate, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Mechanically minded, with the ability to perform or oversee basic machinery checks and maintenance. Demonstrates strong commitment to food safety and quality, with knowledge of or qualifications in HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, and IOSH standards. Comfortable with manual, hands-on work, and not afraid of heights (working on mezzanine floors will be required).
