This is a long-term, full-time role, perfect for someone who’s compassionate, proactive, and ready to make a real difference every day. Please note: Due to the school’s location, a car driver with access to transport is essential. About the Role You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them to engage in lessons, build confidence, and develop key skills.Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you’ll provide one-to-one and small group support, ensuring every child receives the encouragement and attention they deserve. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting pupils with additional needs in and outside the classroom Assisting with tailored learning plans and adapting activities where needed Encouraging independence, social interaction, and positive behaviour Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff Helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment What We’re Looking For Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school or childcare setting) A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to working with children Excellent communication and teamwork skills A car driver with access to transport (essential due to schools location) An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
