They’re now looking for a Product Development Lead to help shape the next generation of their platform and guide its technical evolution.This is a senior strategic role where you’ll define direction, oversee architecture, and drive technical excellence across a modern Java and AWS environment. You’ll provide hands-on leadership when required but your focus will be steering product development, influencing engineering standards, and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and fit for purpose.What you’ll do Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle from design through to deliveryDefine technical direction and architecture across Java and AWS servicesDrive best practice across TDD, CI/CD, and scalable API designCollaborate with Product, DevOps and QA teams to align technical delivery with business goalsGuide technical change and continuous improvement initiativesSupport and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performance culture What you’ll bring Strong experience in backend software development with Java and AWSA proven track record in leading product development or technical strategyExpertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservice architectureFamiliarity with containerised environments using Docker and modern CI/CD toolsStrong understanding of TDD and modern development practicesThe ability to influence, guide and communicate effectively across teams You’ll join an environment that encourages autonomy, innovation and the freedom to shape how technology evolves.Brightwork Ltd offers the services of an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
