GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Outreach Teaching Assistant/Tutor to join our team, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within both school and community settings.About the Role As a Outreach Teaching Assistant/Tutor, you will be deeply committed to working with young people in a therapeutic learning environment. Your role will involve providing tailored support and implementing individualised strategies to meet each young person’s specific needs. You will help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where all students can access the curriculum through differentiated instruction and adapted materials.Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will contribute to the development of individual pathways, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to foster growth and self-confidence. Building strong, trusting relationships with young people and promoting their independence and self-esteem will be central to your approach.This is a flexible role, working both within school settings and out in the community.Key Responsibilities Support pupils in achieving their full potential through tailored interventions and high-quality engagement. Use your knowledge of the curriculum and effective planning to promote the best possible outcomes for all learners. Establish positive and constructive relationships with young people, providing consistent encouragement and support. Supervise and facilitate safe, purposeful learning activities. Encourage social interaction, engagement, and participation in educational and community activities. Provide clear and supportive feedback on progress and achievement. Ideal Candidate Enthusiastic about education and committed to transforming the lives of young learners. Experienced in supporting young people with neurodiversity, SEMH, and additional learning needs. Passionate about inclusive education and helping children develop confidence, independence, and resilience. Reliable and available up to 5 days per week to provide essential consistency and support. Previous experience working with children or young people in school or community settings. Safeguarding Commitment:We take safeguarding seriously.
