We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client’s busy and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across all areas of finance and administration and is looking for a permanent, long-term role with clear salary progression after training.
Main Responsibilities:
Sales Ledger: Invoice processing, credit control, and account reconciliation.
Purchase Ledger: Invoice processing, supplier payments, and statement reconciliations.
Expenses: Processing staff and business expense claims.
Administration: Providing general office and financial administrative support.
Quotes & Rates: Preparing and sending customer quotes and rate confirmations.
Year-End Duties: Assisting with year-end accounts, reconciliations, and reporting.
Fixed Assets: Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register.
Requirements:
Previous bookkeeping and accounting experience is essential.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Confident with financial software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Good communication skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
Desirable:
A relevant qualification (e.g. HND, AAT, or similar) to support your application.
Experience working in a busy office or accounts environment.
