Senior Registered Children’s Home ManagerLocation: Green Lane, WiganSalary: £68,250 to £76,650 per annum (dependent on experience)Hours: 40 per weekA reputable children’s care provider is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Manager to lead a Residential Children’s Home in Wigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding care in line with regulatory requirements and organisational standards, providing strong leadership and operational oversight.Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.Lead development and review of personalised care plans for children and young people.Manage staffing to ensure individual needs are consistently met.Maintain high standards of care in accordance with Care Standards Act 2000 and Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.Ensure a safe and nurturing environment compliant with Health & Safety standards.Liaise with Ofsted and other regulatory bodies to exceed inspection standards.Provide leadership support across wider services and deputise for the Operations Director when required. Requirements: Proven management experience in a Residential Children’s Home setting.Strong skills in managing challenging behaviour.Good knowledge of Ofsted standards, National Care Standards, and relevant legislation.Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of care.
