We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive and highly respected specialist provision in Wimborne, working with pupils aged 3 to 18. It’s a setting where creativity, patience and teamwork come together to transform lives.As an HLTA, you will take on increased responsibility within both primary and secondary classes. You will support teachers, lead small groups and occasionally deliver sessions, helping pupils engage with learning in a safe and structured environment. This full-time role offers an immediate start and the chance to contribute to a setting where every achievement is celebrated.
Your Responsibilities
Lead small-group activities and deliver planned lessons when required
Support teachers with classroom preparation, resources and assessment
Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils
Encourage independence, emotional wellbeing and social development
Maintain a calm, consistent and encouraging learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers, leaders and wider support teams
Requirements
Minimum of 6 months’ childcare or education experience, particularly with SEN needs
Confident in leading learning and supporting a range of ages
Patient, resilient and adaptable, with strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
