Service Engineer for Solar BESS Pay : £60,000 p/a + quarterly commission and annual company bonuses. Contract type: Permanent Location: Birmingham- Field based , will be required to cover most of South of UK and Midlands, with some travel across North UK. About the Role: As a Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our Solar BESS . You will be responsible for commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting these systems to meet client expectations and industry standards. Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and extend the lifespan of the system.Corrective Maintenance: Diagnose and repair system faults promptly to minimize downtime and service disruptions.Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve complex technical issues.Remote Monitoring: Monitor system performance remotely and respond to alarms and alerts.Field Service: Travel to project sites to perform on-site maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service activities, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and incident reports.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Client Support: Provide technical support to clients and address their concerns and questions.Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of new service processes and procedures. Qualifications and Experience: Strong technical background in electrical engineering or a related field.Proven experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar and energy storage systems.In-depth knowledge of power electronics, control systems, and battery technologies.Proficiency in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis techniques.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Valid driver's license.
