First Call Contract Services are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Drivers in the Sheffield area. Job Title: Class 1 HGV Driver Day Shifts: Pay Rate: £14.40 per hour Hours: 3am-4am start, finish around 2-3pm. Night Shifts: Pay Rate: £15.40 per hour Hours: 3pm-7pm start, working 10.5-hour shifts Minimum Paid Hours: 52.5 hours per weekOvertime: Hours worked over 52.5 per week paid at time and a half Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in line with company and legal requirements Complete timely and accurate deliveries and collections to various locations Conduct pre-use vehicle checks and report any defects or safety concerns Maintain accurate records of working hours, delivery notes, and driver logs Adhere to all tachograph, Working Time Directive, and company compliance standards Ensure goods are secured safely and transported in line with load safety regulations Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and customer service Requirements Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience (preferred) No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, IN endorsements) Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Flexibility for early starts or late finishes What We Offer Guaranteed minimum of 52.5 paid hours per week Competitive hourly rates and overtime pay Consistent work with a well-established transport company Supportive and professional agency team If you're an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for stable work and great earning potential in Sheffield, we'd love to hear from you.
