Role: SEND Teaching AssistantRate of pay: £425 - £475 P/WLocation: Harbourne, B17**About the role**A Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in supporting both the teacher and the students to ensure a positive and productive learning environment. In this position, I would be responsible for helping to prepare and organise learning materials, supporting the delivery of lessons, and working closely with individual students or small groups to reinforce understanding and promote progress. I would also assist with behaviour management, provide encouragement and guidance to pupils who need additional help, and contribute to the overall smooth running of the classroom. Ultimately, the role allows me to help create an inclusive, engaging atmosphere where every student has the opportunity to succeed.**Role Requirements**
Support the class teacher in delivering planned lessons and activities.
Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted support.
Assist in creating and preparing classroom resources and materials.
Help maintain a positive, safe, and well-managed learning environment.
Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, social, or emotional challenges.
Encourage positive behaviour and follow school behaviour policies.
Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and breaks when required.
Provide feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and any concerns.
Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where all students can thrive.
