Learning Support Assistant (Full-Time)Location: CanterburyPay Rate: £89 - £90 per day Tradewind are recruiting! We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join one of our client SEMH schools in Canterbury. About our schools: Many of the students have experienced disrupted or challenging educational journeys and thrive in our smaller, personalised setting. With a strong emphasis on building confidence, resilience, and responsibility, we aim to equip students with the tools they need to succeed both academically and socially. The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide tailored support to students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and personal growth. Support students in managing their behaviour and understanding its impact. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other agencies to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Facilitate the delivery of highly personalised programmes to address individual needs. What We're Looking For: A compassionate and adaptable individual with a genuine interest in supporting young people. Experience working with children with mental health difficulties. The environment can be challenging so you would need to have thick skin and great behaviour management Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach. Be able to work Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 3.30pm Legal right to work in the UK. Ability to provide personal care support, including toileting and feeding, as needed. Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a positive approach. Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and obtain clearances. Hold, or be willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS (child workforce) on the update service.
