About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the construction of a nuclear building project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, particularly within the nuclear industry, and possess exceptional leadership and organisational skills. Experience delivering Instrumentation and control systems is essential.Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Team Management: Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of contractors, subcontractors, and construction workers to ensure project milestones are met. Safety Compliance: Ensure all construction activities adhere to nuclear safety regulations and industry standards. Quality Control: Monitor construction processes to ensure high-quality standards and compliance with project specifications. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal project teams to provide regular updates on project progress. Budget Management: have an awareness of project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource optimization. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, safety records, and compliance certificates. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on nuclear projects and M&E systems. Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and nuclear safety standards Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in project management software.
