Operations Team Leader – Waste Management£37,000 + benefitsGlasgowMC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Operations Team Leader for a leading Waste Management & Resource Recovery site based in Glasgow. The Operations Team Leader will be responsible for safely operating the plant SCADA system, coordinating shift activities, and supporting the efficient, compliant running of site operations.As an Operations Team Leader you will be responsible for: Safely operating the plant via a SCADA systemDeputising for the Supervisor during periods of absenceCompleting daily checks, ensuring staffing levels are sufficient, and leading shift meetingsPromoting safety best practice and acting as a safety leader across siteCompleting daily paperwork including checks, defect logs and production recordsEnsuring full compliance with all HSE procedures including LOTOOperating the weighbridge and ensuring accurate transactions and reportingMaintaining clean, safe work environments across all operational areasSupporting general site recycling operations including picking, baler operation and housekeepingUndertaking multiskilled duties and training as required To be considered for this role you should have: Experience operating SCADA systems in a continuous production environmentPrevious Team Leader / Supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of health & safetySkilled fixed plant operator, and mobile plant experience also desirable (shovel, FLT, grab)Excellent communication and attention to detailIOSH qualificationExperience within a recycling, MRF or waste management environment is desireable What’s on offer: Competitive basic salary c£37,000 plus benefitsCompany pension and holidaysExcellent trainingCareer progression within a major UK recycling & resource recovery business To apply:If you are interested in this role, please apply via the link below or contact Machaela Strickland at MC Technical Recruitment on / for a confidential chat.
