Position: Full‑time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Secondary school, Bournemouth (working in a specialist Autism provision) Hours: Monday–Friday, Term‑time only Contract: Permanent

Role & ResponsibilitiesAs a Learning Support Assistant in the ASD provision, you will:
Work one-to-one or in small groups, supporting students with Autism to access the curriculumAssist with differentiated learning activities, scaffolding tasks as neededSupport students’ social, emotional and behavioural developmentHelp to implement behaviour plans or communication systems (e.g., visual aids)Liaise closely with teachers, SENCo and other professionals to track progress and adapt supportPromote independence and self-advocacy in students, encouraging them to build life skills and resilience
What We’re Looking ForOur ideal candidate will have:
Experience of working with Autism (either with children or young adults), either in a school-based setting or another environmentSEN experience, including supporting individuals with additional learning needsStrong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and familiesPatience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young people’s growth and developmentA collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
