Cover Supervisor – Worksop Employer: Teaching Personnel Contract: Full time/Supply Start Date: 1/12/2025 Salary: £90 - £110 per dayTeaching Personnel is seeking a confident, adaptable, and motivated Cover Supervisor to work in one of our welcoming partner secondary schools in Worksop. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience, support student learning, and play a key role in the daily running of a busy school environment.About the RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you will: • Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the absence of the usual classroom teacher. • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure pupils stay on task. • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policies. • Support students with their learning and respond to questions where possible. • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment. • Assist with additional duties such as lunchtime supervision, when required.About YouWe are looking for a Cover Supervisor who: • Has experience working with young people (ideal for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or those with youth work/mentoring experience). • Can confidently manage a classroom and engage with students. • Demonstrates strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills. • Is adaptable, reliable, and able to think on their feet. • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. • Holds or is willing to apply for an enhanced DBS check.What We Offer• Competitive weekly pay based on experience. • Dedicated support from Teaching Personnel’s specialist secondary team. • Access to CPD courses, including behaviour management and safeguarding training. • Opportunities to work across a variety of excellent Chesterfield schools. • A supportive environment with progression routes into teaching for those who wish to pursue QTS.How to ApplyIf you’re a confident and enthusiastic individual ready to support young people in the classroom, we’d love to hear from you.
