Job Title: SEND TeacherLocation: SunderlandContract Type: Long term temporaryLeader Education are currently recruiting a Teacher for a SEND Secondary School.The school serves approximately 200 young people aged 11 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and an increasing number of pupils with Autism.The school is well-equipped with outstanding facilities such as a therapy pool and sensory room. It is also supported by a dedicated team of staff who are committed to enriching the lives of the children.This is a long-term position with a typical working schedule of Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.Leader Education are dedicated to ensuring that we find adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you.The successful candidate will: Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain oneQualified Teacher Status (QTS)Some experience working with or alongside pupils that have SENDFollow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirementsWork with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectivelyParticipate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and deliverySet up lessons, equipment and activities within the classroomsCollaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils Leader Education can offer: Competitive pay ratesRefer a friend or colleague bonus scheme: £100 per referral (terms apply)A dedicated consultant to answer any queries and for ongoing supportPotential permanent contract after a qualifying period Interested candidates are invited to submit a comprehensive CV outlining their teaching experience and qualifications which are relevant to this role.
