Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school or similar settingA calm, empathetic and patient approach to behaviour and communicationStrong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationshipsFlexibility to provide support tailored to each child’s individual needsReliability, resilience and a proactive attitudeA relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (desirable but not essential)
Your Role & Responsibilities
Offer personalised 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with a variety of additional or special educational needsWork alongside class teachers and SENCOs to deliver structured, engaging and accessible learning activitiesUse effective strategies to promote emotional regulation, communication and positive behaviourPrepare or adapt resources in line with individual learning plans (EHCPs)Help maintain a safe, consistent and supportive environment for all pupilsCollaborate closely with staff and parents to ensure every child feels understood, included and valued

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
